Day 1

Yerevan City Tour – Church Of Etchmiadzin – Zvartnots Cathedral - Yerevan (Welcome diner)


• Arrival in Yerevan, transfer to the hotel.


1. City tour around Yerevan – during the city tour you will get acquainted with the main streets and the main buildings of Yerevan.

2. Tour to Etchmiadzin _ during which we will visit the first Christian church in the world.

4. Then tour to Zvartnots Cathedral _ which is a 7th-century cathedral. Now in ruins, it is located at the edge of Etchmiadzin. Cathedral and Churches of Etchmiadzin and the Archaeological Site of Zvartnots are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

5. Back to Yerevan.

6. Welcome diner.

Day 2

Matenadaran - Garni Temple - Geghard Monastery - Yerevan / Brandy Factory


1. Visit to the depository of the manuscripts, Matenadaran _ where 18000 pieces of works are kept. These works are included into UNESCO World Heritage.

2. Tour to Garni _ the only pagan temple left in Armenia. It is a blend of Greco-Roman and Armenian styles built by King Trdat I in the first century A.D. and dedicated it to the God of Sun.

3. During the lunchtime traditional bread lavash baking demonstration in tonir (oven in the ground).

4. Then we will keep our way to Geghard _ Geghard monastery (13th century) carved out of the adjacent mountain and initially called Ayrivank the Monastery of the Cave) is included in the World Heritage Site. Due to the fact that the famous spear, with which the Roman soldier wounded Jesus, was kept here for 500 years, the monastery was called Geghardavank (the Monastery of the Spear).

5. Visit to Ararat Brandy Factory.

6. Back to Yerevan.

Day 3

Lake Sevan / Sevanavank Monastery - Dilijan Cyti Tour - Goshavank Monastery - Yerevan


1. Tour participants will reach Lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world. The lake is at an altitude of 1,950m above sea level. Sevan is famous for its different kinds of fish, particular for ishkhan, which means “princely fish.” Sevanavank Monastery (9th c.), located on a peninsula will be the next destination for the group to reach.

2. Back to Yerevan.

3. Visit to Vernissage and Dried Fruit Market _ Vernissage is a large open-air market in Yerevan, Armenia. The market mainly features a collection of different types of traditional Armenian art works. Dried fruit is fruit from which the majority of the original water content has been removed either naturally, through sun drying, or through the use of specialized dryers or dehydrators. Dried fruit has a long tradition of use dating back to the fourth millennium BC in Mesopotamia, and is prized because of its sweet taste, nutritive value and long shelf life.

Day 2


Khor Virap Monastery - Noravanq Monastery - Areni Wine Factory


1. Tour to Khor Virap, which is an Armenian monastery located in the Ararat plain in Armenia, near the closed border with Turkey. Khor Virap's notability as a monastery and pilgrimage site is attributed to the fact that Gregory the Illuminator was initially imprisoned here for 13 years by King Tiridates III of Armenia. Saint Gregory subsequently became the king's religious mentor, and they led the proselytizing activity in the country. In the year 301, Armenia was the first country in the world to be declared a Christian nation.

2. Visit to Noravank, which is a 13th-century Armenian monastery, located 122 km from Yerevan in a narrow gorge made by the Amaghu River, near the town of Yeghegnadzor, Armenia. The gorge is known for its tall, sheer, brick-red cliffs, directly across from the monastery. The monastery is best known for its two-storey Surb Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) church, which grants access to the second floor by way of a narrow stone-made staircase jutting out from the face of building.

Day 3


Vernissage - Lake Sevan - Sevanavank Monastery - Dilijan - Goshavank

3. Then tour to Goshavank, which is a 12th- or 13th-century Armenian monastery located in the village of Gosh in the Tavush Province of Armenia. Today the monastery is not a functioning religious complex, although it remains a popular tourist destination and has recently undergone some light restoration.

Dilijan Kchuch - Dilijan city tour - The Geological Museum and Art Gallery of Dilijan - Yerevan, Dried Fruit Market

2. City tour in Dilijan - Dilijan is a spa town and urban municipal community in the Tavush Province of Armenia. Usually called Armenian Switzerland or Little Switzerland by the locals, it is one of the most important resorts of Armenia, situated within the Dilijan National Park.

3. Visit to The Geological Museum and Art Gallery of Dilijan, which is a museum of local history and an art gallery in Dilijan, Armenia.
